Employment Opportunity – Senior Pastor
Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church is situated in southern Manitoba. We are a multi-generational church of approximately 250 members. We have strong family connections within the church. Church related programs, such as AWANA, camp, and Sunday School, are highly valued. We have an active youth program which includes opportunities for our youth to grow in their faith and serve in missions. Our church’s strengths include serving others, generosity, encouragement, and music.
The Senior Pastor of the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church is responsible to prepare and preach sermons that inspire, challenge and convict, emphasizing the spiritual development of members. The pastor will promote local evangelism and missions by equipping the members through teaching and modelling. He will also work collaboratively with the Church’s ministerial which includes a Youth Pastor, lay ministers and deacons. A recent program that the pastor will oversee is the Leader In Training program.
The successful candidate will be a servant leader who models faithfulness and love for the Lord, caring for those with needs while guiding, directing, correcting and unifying the church with sound Biblical teaching. He views the Bible as the inspired and true Word of God, the authority for faith and actions. He will have a deep personal faith with strong convictions and value family highly. He is a warm and loving person who relates to us as a listener; not afraid to reveal personal pain and struggles as an ordinary human being; a compassionate and godly man.
